Get It Off Your Chesterfield – Fascist Flop at Sandpiper Hotel

On Sunday 30th November SCARF travelled to support local antifascists and refugees in Unstone, near Chesterfield. Defend The Sandpiper Hotel in Chesterfield

In September around 500 far right activists descended on Unstone , near Chesterfield, to hurl abuse at and attempt to attack the Sandpiper Hotel. A couple of hundred antifascists held the line protecting the hotel and the migrants trapped inside by police arrogance and incompetence. This Sunday 30th November, they intend to try again. Once again, antifascist will be there to do the job the state is unable or unwilling to do. Join the WhatsApp announcement list for updates Join us from 2pm until the racists leave. Bring food, drink, and warm clothes. Fascist live streamers will be in attendance, so face coverings are advised if you don't want to be subjected to their attentions.

Chesterfield Sofa, So Good

Tense standoff in Unstone, near Chesterfield today (Sunday 28th September) at the Sandpiper Hotel. An unusually timed Sunday afternoon demo saw a large number of flag wavers turnout to harass and intimidate asylum seekers. All told there were around 500 far-right. Many had travelled long distances to be there. An outnumbered counter protest stood their ground for the duration, and despite fascist incursions into the hotel grounds, there was no significant damage done. A SCARF salute to the Chesterfield residents who stood firm in the face of racist intimidation. Longer report to follow.
